Goodworld’s Workplace Giving module enables employees to contribute to charitable organizations through automatic payroll deductions, one-time donations, or other giving mechanisms. The solution encompasses a variety of powerful features designed to maximize employee engagement, simplify management for admins, and amplify the overall impact of charitable contributions.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a streamlined method for employees to donate to their chosen charities directly from their paychecks. This method allows for consistent, hassle-free contributions, enabling employees to support causes they care about regularly without needing to manually make donations each time. Goodworld’s payroll giving functionality allows admins to customize frequencies, pledge disclaimers, calls to action and solicit salary percentages instead of dollar value pledges.

Rollover Gifts & Nudges

Rollover Gifts is a feature designed to sustain and boost employee participation in workplace giving programs. Admins can select a source campaign to roll employee giving activity into a new campaign automatically. Alternatively, admins can enable ‘Opt-in Rollover’ functionality, which gives employees the ability to see their previous gifts from a different campaign, opt into the same preferences or make adjustments to their giving in the new campaign. Goodworld’s ‘Rollover Increase Nudges’ can also be enabled to encourage employees to increase previous pledges by a certain percentage.

Company Accounts

Company accounts provide a centralized solution for managing all workplace giving partnerships and their corresponding roles and permissions. . This is particularly useful for large nonprofits who manage workplace giving activities across many companies. Company accounts offer comprehensive oversight, allowing admins to track donations, manage employee rosters, demographic tags, participation and generate reports for specific companies. These accounts also enable admins to create custom matching and volunteering policies for each campaign and/or company account.

Team Management

Goodworld’s team management features include the ability to maintain an up-to-date employee roster, with advanced tagging functionality. Employee rosters can be uploaded with groups and tags, which helps in organizing and targeting communications more effectively.

Department Management

Goodworld’s tagging feature allows companies to segment employee rosters into departments, which enables more tailored and relevant communications. This segmentation can help increase participation rates by aligning giving opportunities with affinity groups or specific interests and values within a company.

Participation Rates and Goals

Tracking participation rates and setting goals are key components of a successful workplace giving program. These features enable companies to monitor how many employees are participating, identify trends, and set targets to increase engagement. By setting and communicating clear goals, companies can motivate employees to contribute more actively.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Goodworld’s Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations simplify the login process for employees, allowing them to access the workplace giving platform using their existing company credentials. The ease of access encourages higher participation rates by streamlining the user experience. Integrated SSO providers include Okta, OneLogin, Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0, Google and more.

Benefits of Workplace Giving

1. Reliable Income Stream

Workplace giving programs provide charities with a reliable income stream, allowing them to plan and budget more effectively. Regular contributions from employees ensure a steady flow of funds to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

2. Tax Benefits

Both employees and companies can benefit from tax deductions through workplace giving programs. Employees can deduct charitable contributions from their taxable income, while companies can often deduct matching contributions, making it a financially advantageous arrangement for all parties involved.

3. Builds Culture

A robust workplace giving program helps build a positive company culture centered around social responsibility and community involvement. By promoting philanthropy, companies can foster a sense of pride and belonging by contributing to causes that employees care about.

4. Increases Engagement and Retention

Engaging employees in charitable activities can lead to higher levels of job satisfaction and loyalty. Workplace giving programs provide opportunities for employees to connect with their peers over shared values and causes, strengthening workplace relationships and increasing employee retention rates.

5. Amplifies Impact In a Community

By pooling resources and coordinating efforts, workplace giving programs can significantly amplify the impact of charitable contributions within a community. Companies can leverage their collective power to support larger projects and initiatives, making a more substantial difference than individual donations alone.
