Goodworld's Event feature is designed to streamline registrations, ticket sales and fundraising for nonprofit events, making it easier for organizations to engage with supporters and raise funds effectively.

The combination of customizable ticketing, automated communications, and easy text donations helps ensure events run smoothly and meet fundraising goals, all while enhancing donor experience and engagement.

Clicking into an Event in Goodworld will bring you to the Overview page where admins can edit dates, times and locations associated with that event whether they are in-person, virtual or hybrid occasions

Within the Pages tab, admins can create a completely customizable event page. Pages can include buttons that link to Auctions, different sections outlining information and any other components that admins might add.

Within the Tickets tab, admins can customize and create different types of tickets as well as promo codes. Clicking the “Create New Ticket” button will select either a standard Ticket, Bundle or Item. Standard Tickets represent one registrant per ticket whereas a Bundle represents a group of seats, slots,or tickets per bundle. Admins can set quantity limits for all ticket types in case there is limited inventory or venue seating and can even set quantity limits per purchaser.

An Item on the other hand, does not generate registrations, but rather enables the sale of additional accessories within the ticket purchase flow. Items might be used to sell raffle tickets, wine bottles or signed memorabilia. All tickets and promo codes are highly customizable.

Within the Registrants tab, admins can see a real-time list of all registrations for the auction or event. Admins can click the name of any registrant and view details or their associated activity. If there is an auction enabled for an event, Goodworld will automatically attach the payment method used for the ticket purchase to the purchaser’s contact profile. Registrants are unable to place a bid for an Auction without a registration or a payment method. Admins can also edit registration/bidder/paddle numbers. Admins also have the functionality of clicking the checkbox to deliver a text message (SMS) to someone if their phone number has been collected.

The promo codes feature allows admins to create, customize and track promotional codes for events within the ticketing module. Admins can generate unique codes that offer discounts or special benefits to attendees. They can set conditions for each code, discount rates, usage limits, and specific ticket applicability.

4. Seamless Event Execution

  • Efficiency and Convenience: The Event feature automates many aspects of event management, reducing administrative burdens and allowing your team to focus on engaging with attendees and maximizing fundraising efforts.

Best Practices

  1. Optimize Ticket Offerings

    • Tiered Pricing: Offer multiple ticket types with varying benefits to appeal to different donor segments. For instance, you might have general admission, VIP, and premium tickets, each offering specific perks and recognition.

    • Clear Descriptions: Ensure that each ticket type has a clear and compelling description, highlighting the benefits and impact of the purchase.

  2. Customize Automatic Emails

    • Brand Consistency: Design the automatic email receipts to reflect your organization’s branding, including your logo, colors, and messaging tone.

    • Personalized Messaging: Include a personalized thank-you message in the email receipt, expressing gratitude and detailing how their support will make a difference.

  3. Enhance Text-to-Give Engagement

    • Prominent Promotion: Promote the Text-to-Give option prominently during the event through signage, announcements, and digital displays. This allows automated text messages to be sent to an individual when they reach a check-in counter, when an auction is starting, when an auction closes, etc.

    • Tailored Messages: Craft a compelling text message that resonates with your audience and clearly explains how to donate using the provided URL.

  4. Deploy QR Code Engagement

    • Easy Access: QR codes provide a simple and convenient way for attendees to access donation forms or event information by scanning with their smartphones. Place QR codes on event materials, signage, and digital screens to encourage instant donations.

    • Instant Connection: By scanning a QR code, users are immediately directed to a donation page or relevant content without needing to type URLs or remember text codes, making the donation process quicker and more seamless.

    • Versatile Use: QR codes can be integrated into various materials, such as tickets, programs, and promotional items, offering multiple touchpoints for engagement. This increases visibility and opportunities for donations throughout the event.

    • Trackable Engagement: QR codes allow for tracking and analytics on engagement, such as scan rates and conversion metrics, providing valuable insights into donor behavior and the effectiveness of promotional efforts.

  5. Leverage the Solution Across Different Campaign Phases

    • Launch, Boost, and Scale: Utilize the Event solution in various campaign phases. During the launch phase, create buzz with early bird ticket types. In the boost phase, encourage mid-campaign engagement through special offers or limited-time ticket promotions. In the scale phase, maximize reach and donations through targeted text engagement and follow-up emails.

Auctions

Goodworld's Auction feature transforms online fundraising auctions by making them accessible, engaging, and easy to manage. Generate excitement with sneak peeks of auction items, ensuring high engagement before the event. Host virtual auctions from any device, allowing broad participation. Utilize a secure, centralized database to track bids, manage communications, and acknowledge bidders. Enjoy limitless auction listings with detailed photos and descriptions, automated email receipts for winning bids, and simple text-to-register functionality. Follow best practices by optimizing item previews, ensuring cross-device functionality, and personalizing bidder communications to maximize the success of your auction.

Auctions can be a component or an experience of an event. So while an event might be for a whole day at a particular location, auctions might only take place for 2 hours for some part of the event. Both the event and the auction will each have their own controls. The event start date and end date could be different from the auction start time and end time.
