Goodworld’s Check-In Text Notification feature allows admins to automatically send a customized text message to guests the moment they are marked as checked in at an event. This helps streamline onsite operations, guide attendees through next steps, and ensure they have the information they need—right when they need it.
Whether it’s reminding supporters to add a payment method before the auction, letting them know where to find registration, or welcoming them to a gala, check-in texts create a smooth guest experience from the moment they walk in the door.
When enabled, this feature:
Sends an instant SMS message to attendees as soon as their status is updated to “Checked In.”
Allows admins to fully customize the text message, including welcome language, instructions, links, and event-specific details.
Ensures every attendee receives consistent, timely communication—without requiring manual texting or staff coordination.
Setting up Check-In Text Notifications
You can enable this setting within any event:
Navigate to your Event or Opportunity.
Select the Communications tab.
Locate Attendee Checked In.
Toggle Text to enable or disable the message.
Click into the card to customize the message content.
The right-side device preview will update live so you can see exactly how your message will appear on a guest’s phone.
Customizing Your Message
Admins can edit every part of the automated message. Common use cases include:
Welcome Messages
“Welcome to our 50th Anniversary Gala! Thank you for joining us tonight…”
Auction Setup Instructions
“Before participating in Raise-the-Paddle, please add your payment method here: [link]”

Rich text is supported, and hyperlinks will automatically format for mobile readability.

Check-In Texts are only sent when an attendee’s status is changed to Checked In—either via the Registrants tab within the Event.
If you check someone in, then out, then in again, the message will send each time their status is newly updated to Checked In.
