Goodworld’s registration campaigns provide organizations with a seamless way to collect information from their community members. Unlike fundraising campaigns, registration campaigns do not involve any donation flow. They can be used for various purposes, including:

  • Newsletter Sign-ups: Capture contact information for ongoing communication and engagement.

  • Interest Forms: Gather details from individuals interested in specific initiatives or programs.

  • Applications: Streamline application processes for grants, volunteer opportunities, or memberships.

  • Contact Forms: Provide an easy way for users to reach out and share their inquiries.

  • Sponsorships: Facilitate sponsor sign-ups and collect relevant sponsorship details.

  • Feedback & Surveys: Gather input from users to improve programs, events, or services.

  • Waitlist Forms: Manage demand and track interested individuals for future opportunities.

Setting up a registration campaign

To create a registration campaign, click “Create new campaign” and select the “Registration” template. Once the campaign is created, navigate to the Features tab to customize the fields presented to users.

User ID & Data

Under the User ID & Data section, admins can define what user information should be stored and linked to the individual’s profile. Fields such as address and phone number can be required, and custom fields can be added. For example, collecting data on a user’s "philanthropic area of interest" would be done here to ensure it remains associated with their profile for future reference.

Registration

The Registration feature allows admins to set the fields necessary for the specific campaign. If running a survey, for example, the survey questions would be added here. This ensures that the collected information is tied to the campaign rather than the individual user’s profile.

User Fields versus Registration Attributes

Admins should use the Registration feature to define fields for a specific campaign rather than using the custom attributes tool under Settings. Where custom attributes are created depends on whether the data should be attached to the user profile (User ID & Data) or specific to the registration (Registration).

Registration Confirmation Communications

In the Communications tab of the campaign, admins can customize the registration confirmation email sent to users upon completing the form.

Additionally, within the Settings of the campaign, the Thank You screen at the end of the registration flow can be personalized to align with the organization’s messaging and goals.
